Week 9
(July 18th - July 22th)
This week, I completed the heat maps. As with the previous heat maps, the graphs were formatted to include grid areas and the angular sectors, and a slider was added to make these sectors adjustable. As suggested by my mentors, I made some changes to the structure of the heat maps portraying information about missed shots and rebounds. These changes were intended to make the GUI more understandable, hence facilitating visual analysis. These changes allowed me to review my work, fix some of the bugs in the code and improve some of the implemented algorithms. As I previous weeks, Aaron was assistance was helpful. Aaron has been working on this project, but has been handling different tasks. This week, we started putting his GUIs and mine together.
Getting to the end of this research experience, I took sometime to work on edit this website by some details about this program and my stay in Los Angeles. Also, I analyzed my work to get a sense of what should be included in my final report available here.
Again I communicated with my mentor when needed. We communicated via email and through scheduled meetings. We had 2 scheduled meetings this week.
