Week 10
(July 25th - July 29th)
This is my last week. Few additions were made on my code. To have a more accurate sense on the shots made in each grid sector, we do not only need to know the location of the shot and an evaluation of the number of shots made at the specific interval defined in the grid square sizes. Processing information this way does not provide an appropriate visual on the number of shot that occurred within a grid sector, for there exists superposition of shot coordinates. That is, shots made at exactly the same coordinates tend to be supper imposed creating an inadequate visualization on the number of shots that occurred. To solve this, a different view of the shots made was created. In this view, 2 circles were created in each grid square whose sizes are proportional to the total number of shots taken within that given grid squar. This size is with respect to the maximum number of shots that occured at any given grid/sector location on the plot. The two circles were colored differently to symbolize shots made and shots missed.
This was my last week. I had a chance to say a final Goodbye to Dr. Rajiv. Some students with whom I was working these 10 weeks and I, went out for our last lunches together this week. I also had the chance to have a farewell lunch with my DREU mentor, Dr. Yu-Han. This was my last day. Three days later, I was on a flight back to Duluth, MN where I school.
