DREU Mentor
Dr. Yu-Han Chang is an Assistant Research Professor at USC, working at the Information Sciences Institute (ISI). Previously, he was at MIT CSAIL where he received his Ph.D. in EECS under the direction of Prof. Leslie Kaelbling.
His research centers on learning in rich multi-agent environments. It draws on ideas from machine learning, game theory, and cognitive science. Learning algorithms based on mathematical models for agent behavior, knowledge representation, and appropriate metrics are important parts of this work. He is interested in fundamental theory as well as application domains such as interactive media and mobile ad-hoc networks. Recently, Dr. Chang has taken an interest in applications of technology that could help improve the state of K12 STEM education in the US.
Research interests: Multi-agent systems, reinforcement learning, machine learning, interactive games, game theory, K12 STEM education, ad-hoc networking.
