Week 10

July 31 - August 4

It's hard to believe that it is the end of week 10. This summer has seemed to fly by and pass so slowly all in one. It'll be good to have a little break before I start school, but I'm going to miss all of the people.

This week in the office has been pretty quiet. All of the REU students are gone, and some of the others on the project have been working from home. Most of the work this week has been working on the final report. We also have been trying to run subjects. Although, it is hard to get people to want to give an hour of their day to us. We also have to prepare to run the study in Atlanta at the STARS conference next week. All in all, it has been a pretty busy week because of the paper and having to move.

It's nice to know that I am going to be able to come back some during the school year. It would be much harder to leave if that weren't the case. I am really glad that I got the opportunity to come to UNC Charlotte. I don't think I would have even given grad school a second thought if I hadn't come. Now I have a much better understanding of what computer science research is. My experience this summer will really help me when I have to make the decision of what to do next year after I graduate.
