Week 7

July 10 - July 16

This week we've continued to work on our game prototypes. The other team is almost done with their mini-game, and we should finally get ours finished sometime next week. Work on the prototype has been a little slower this week since the students from Hallym are here and Jordan is gone. We are getting things done though. We still have a few weeks until we will actually be conducting the study. Also, the proposal for our study has been sent in, so we should begin testing whenever it gets approved.

Along with working on various tasks for our game, I have been spending a lot of time looking up example questions for the pre- and post- tests for our study. Next week, I will actually make the pre- and post- tests with the questions that I have found. I have been able to get a lot of example questions from my old tests and quizes. There are also some resources online that I have used. For the most part, finding example questions hasn't been that difficult; however, most of the questions that I have found are language specific. As long as the questions test concepts, this shouldn't be a problem. Since we are not focusing on a specific language or syntax, I have to be aware of this.
