Week 7: 7/13-7/17

Journal 7:

HoOwwwDDeeeYYYYY:

This whole week I have been in a state of shock. This is my 3rd/4th to last week here and I just can't believe it. I feel like I've been here for a long time, but it also feels like I haven't been here that long either. A part of my is really sad about that, but another part of me is trying ignore it. I think a part of me doesn't want to leave yet. I've met so many awesome people and made some great friends.... WAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I'm tearing up so much as I write this. So, not much exciting this week. I just lazed around all weekend with my friends.

What I've learned this week:

1. We have less than a month left.

2. I don't want to leave yet.

3. Papers are hard.

4. I think I FINALLY got the hang of writing quizzes.

Work:

This week we went to the town next door, Bryan, and hosted another Digital Friendship workshop at the Boys and Girls club for future girl scouts. I also went to another lunch'venture with people in the lab. We went to have tacos for Taco Tuesdays at a Mexican place. I acutally did not get any tacos, but I did get some yummy food regardless. XD

We began really working on a plugin for the site! Essentially we will have the girls go through a cute little adventure story (different from the 'choose your adventure stories' that I normally work on). As the girls go through the story, at certain points of the story, they have to draw an image. For example, they (and the fictional characters they are with) have to find a castle, but no one knows how the castle looks like. The girl will then have to draw the castle. So, they have to draw a total of 9 pictures, 3 pictures where they just draw, 3 with some sample pictures, and 3 with some sample pictures drew by their friends with the friend's name.

In other news, I did more quizzes.

OH! And before I forget, my partner and I have been working on a paper with our Graduate student mentor. It's been really tough so far, but I feel its really rewarding. It's good practice for when I have to write my own paper. :D
