This week, we finally released the plugin! We started to get some responses from the girls right away, which was very exciting. There was also another KidGab party (our last one for the summer :-() on Tuesday. Around five girls visited the website and participated in the site-wide chat. The party was a lot of fun, and it was nice to reflect on the growth that the website has had in the last two months (no girls participated in our first party). Stephanie was incredibly happy, which in turn made me very happy to have collaborated into making this happen. All of us worked pretty hard during the summer.
Because this was our last week with Stephanie, we went out to eat frozen yogurt on Thursday to say "good-bye". It was heartbreaking to do so, and I couldn't help but shed a couple of tears, but we have plenty of awesome memories to take with us. I am very thankful to have been matched with Texas A&M and, specifically, to have gotten the opportunity of working with Stephanie and Dr. Hammond. I consider myself pretty lucky!
Other than this, I spent the weekend relaxing in the apartment and getting work done. I put together my poster on Saturday and early Sunday, and also added more content to my paper. I can't believe this, but... only one more week to go. :-(
