Week5: July 12 - July 18More readings this week. After understanding the differential privacy mechanism, I decided to read about privacy preserving mechanisms that were proposed before differential privacy. I read a paper on k-anonymity principle by Latanya Sweeney. After understanding the k-anonymity principle and differential privacy mechanism, it became more and more clear why differential privacy is considered to be the stronger privacy preserving mechanism available currently.So, I am half way through my summer and it still feels like I just started. I am learning so much every day as well as enjoying my stay. Seems like time went by really fast. Looking forward to the remainder of my summer... |
