PHILLY:New In The City

8/2/2012:On the City With the Family

People are starting to leave left and right but these past two days I've gotten to spend time with my family. One of my aunts, uncles, and their kids are taking a ride through the east coast and they stopped by to see me! After my work meeting and I went and meet them. There was lots of hugs. I showed them my apartment and we dropped off stuff so they could stay in my room overnight. Then we went out to eat and I showed them my favorite place Bob's Burger Palace. It has the best burgers I have ever had in my life and to top it off they put chips in their burgers. You get your burger and then you get to smash it down and crunch all the chips. It's really fun but yeah, I always put chips on my sandwiches so I was pretty excited. They also all found the burgers delicious. I was happy.

Then we just walked around campus and I showed them a couple spots. I showed them where I work and the statues that I pass on my way to work. It was fun. We took pictures but they were pretty worn out from the drive and so by 8 they were ready for bed.

I brought the girls back to the dorm and we watched some TV before we went to bed. In the morning we got up and one of my cousins took a run around campus and me and my cousin went to find food and water. After a run and a shower we meet up with their parents and we started our real tour of the city.

They of course had to have a Philly cheesecake because you kind of have too. Then we did a lot of historical tours. We saw the Liberty Bell and walked through different buildings that used to be where the government started. We saw were the Supreme Court was held once and took pictures at the capital.

Then we stopped for ice cream. The oldest ice cream place in the US. I got chocolate chip. It was delicious. It was in this huge inside food market. We walked around there for a long time. Then it was time to say goodbye to me. They dropped me off and we also shared a lot of hugs then. See them in a couple weeks.
