PHILLY:New In The City

6/17/2012: Really Long Walks

The weekend is almost over and my roomie already headed out again. I had a great time though. Hung out with some of the people I met this week. We chilled out in the dorms Friday evening and spent Saturday walking around Center City. Harnwell College is on 39th street and we walked all the way down passed first and looked out into New Jersey.

On our walk we saw a bunch of little shops; although we didn’t get to go into very many of them. With the size of group we had it was more a window shop. Besides shop there was this one glass museum we walked by - a bunch of glass and mirror covering the walls. I wish I would have taken a picture. I’m even more interesting in what I can do with mirrors now.

For dinner we got Philly cheese stakes. I’m pretty sure I’ve never actually had one before. They were good but it was a big sandwich. I’m surprised how much I actually ate. The temperature was sizzling that day and I wanted to eat but sometimes the heat shrinks my stomach.  After dinner we stopped by the park. Unfortunately this is when my legs and feet started hurting me from the long walks. I managed to make it back on but I hope that never happens again.

When we got back we took a short break from each other and then came back together for the night. We hung out and went to visit one of my roomie’s friends from college who also is intershipping here for the summer. We hung out until some late hour and slept into Sunday.
