Week 8

August 2 - August 8

This week, we had a barbecue for my birthday and to welcome Eddie, a new graduate student. It was at Proff. Kelleher's house, and she made the most delicious and amazing hot chocolate cakes covered in ice cream I got 2 in honor of my birthday.

My family came to visit me for my birthday. I took them to the lab, introduced them to people, and showed them the games we've been working on. My little brother, a senior in high school, took a tour of WashU.

I decided to take off four days to go to Chicago with my family. I am going to make up these days at the end of the summer by helping write a paper that we hope to submit to the CHI conference! It was really fun to go to Chicago and visit with my cousins who live there. I did miss a meeting with a stroke patient, but I will make sure to get filled in when I get back!
