June 21- June 27
This week I worked on my first game. I set it up using the alice game environment, and then put the generated java files into Eclipse (our spectacular coding environment) To the left is my game. It is called "Plunder The Sea" (har har). It is going to be a two player game, where the fish has to eat up all the ferns, and the snail has to defend the fish from the spiky blowfish.
It sounds simple enough, but I got a bit frustrated setting up. Luckily my coworkers are super helpful and know way more java than me.. By the end of the week, I setup up my game environment, but nothing really moved or anything.
On Wednesday, Gazi made us amazing Turkish food. It is thin bits of meat on tortillas, wrapped up with parsley and wierdo spices inside. Dr. Kelleher made some yummy desert rice with mango.
Thursday, we lost the volleyball game again, even though we had a practice Wednesday night! Over the weekend, I read Jord's coding book and hung out with my coworkers.
