June 14-20
I arrived in St. Louis on Sunday to the brilliant victory of the Lakers!! I then went to look at some apartments I found on Craig's list. Luckily I loved the first apartment I looked at, so I went signed the lease and went straight to work on Monday.
Once I got to the lab, I set up Alice and the programming environment (Eclipse) on a laptop set aside for my use. It took quite a while, as it is all sort of hacky. I spent the rest of the week trying to familiarize myself with Java.
The people in my lab are wicked cool. I found out that there is a volleyball game every Thursday. I went, and it was really fun (even though we lost pretty bad). We implemented the board of sociality, and started writing down things we want to do before Jordana (another DREU person) leaves!
