I am really getting the hang of Java! It really helps that when I get discouraged, everyone in the lab tells me how ridic hard it was for them to learn Java. One of the grad students, Gazi, is an insanely good coder. I aspire to get that good- though it might take more than ten weeks. My program now can take wiimote input!
I spent a fair amount of time arranging times to test out our programs. It can be hard to reach people outside the lab, but I am sure it will be worth it for the fresh ideas and insights we will get!
As for social fun this week, we went to the Arch on Wednesday, and had a bbq and talent show of sorts on Thursday at Dr. Kelleher's place. It was a sad goodbye to Jordana, who leaves to Australia! We'll miss her!
