Professor Peh is back this week. We had our first meeting yesterday, and it was really nice to talk to her again. She is so nice and energetic, and very helpful and understanding about the fact that I am still a beginner in this field. We discussed the project, and she suggested some modifications so that I would have enough time to finish. Since I have looked at the timekeeping metrics used to measure the success rate, she wants me to have a look at how they can be applied to power, and brainstorm ways to modify them to be more applicable. She is of the opinion that the computation and queue energy will not be very significant compared to the communication. However, it mostly depends on the hardware. I have been trying to find out the specific hardware assumptions in NS-2 to further move on.
