My mentor want to change the way things move. Turning was finicky so instead of it being player controlled, the game will have set places where everything will turn if we chose to have the player/character go in another direction. Now our character starts in the middle of a three lane runway. Pushing two designated buttons will shift the world left and right to put the character in a different lane. The original pick-up system we had in mind involved clicking on the object the player wanted to pick up but that required switching 1st and 3rd person. To avoid that, item pick up is triggered by walking through the item. If a desired item is in another lane move left or right to get into that.
