Week 6: Jul 5 - Jul 9
This week was spent doing the Avatar Shopping project website. I made the error of choosing a template that was poorly coded, so a task as simple as extending one page just was near impossible to do. Though 4 people tried, we still failed miserably. So I had to change the template at the very last minute, and surprisingly, what it took me 4 days to do with the last template, I did it in less than 3 hours using the new one. I'm very happy to say that I've finally completed my section of the website and I'm now waiting for my teammate's portion so we can merge them.
On Thursday I attended another seminar which was a part of the weekly REU seminars here. Dr Steve Stevenson spoke about his current research pertaining to Artificial Intelligence and how systems will evolve over time.
I also participated in an eye-tracking study at the eye tracking lab which is aimed at improving closed captioning for the deaf.
I'm now looking forward to an awesome weekend at Charlotte NC.
