Week 8
We spent the eighth week getting our code running on a remote grid. Our current implementation runs correctly and we are beginning plan out what experiements we need to run to collect data on how this change is effecting the runtime of the workflow. We also have hashed out how to change the code for our second, more advanced, implementation. We plan to begin collecting statistics on each of these three implementaions next week.
I went out with a number of people this week to see Toy Story 3 in the El Capitain theater on Hollywood Blv. We walkled the Walk of Fame, saw the Chinese Theater, and went searching for the Hollywood Sign (though we couldn't find it since it was dark and foggy). I also met a friend of mine who lives here and went to hang out on Venice Beach, where I got a rather spectacular sunburn. :)
