Week 3
The third week was spent mostly familiarizing ourselves with the Pegasus source code, and looking at how it interacts with two pieces of grid software, Condor and Globus. We had a meeting on Tuesday with both our mentors and the other grad students that are working on stuff related to our project. There we made a plan for the immediate future about what we need to accomplish and hammered out a good idea of the long term goal. We also finished installing everything that we need to run these workflows. This took a lot of work and we ended up getting help from a good number of people in the division before we were successful. Thursday and Friday we finally began to code a small scale version of the changes we need to make to Pegasus and are now working our way through all the little issues we need to solve to get it to work.
