Week 9: July 19 - July 25

I had a great time last weekend! The best part of being close to home is that I am able to spend time with my family. Over the weekend, I went bride and bridesmaid dress shopping with my mom, three sisters, and the groom's mother. My sister is the first of my sisters to get married, so it was quite new experience. She didn't know exactly what she wanted yet, so we spent plenty of time looking at different styles. By the end of the day, we had picked out a few but had nothing finalized. My sister and I went out again on Thursday to a different little shop. Here we were able to narrow the dresses down to two. It was a very fun and exciting time.

Also over the weekend I went to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. I had taken a class on ancient art last year, and I was amazed at how much I actually remembered. I was particularly satisfied whenever I saw a piece that we had focused on. Afterward we went out to eat before everyone went their separate ways.

At the lab, we are working on actually putting all the pieces together. Maria had the brilliant idea of setting up a cvs repository for us. Integration was much smoother after this point. Even though we all work within ten feet of each other, having the code in one place is extremely nice. We are hoping to have everything together by the middle of next week so that we can start testing.

I made very good progress in writing my final report this week. I have about three pages completed. I have one more section to do before all that remains are the experiment goals and results. I am very glad that I have worked with LaTex before; it made this process much simpler.
