Week 6
This week was very productive. Working in a larger group really helped us get
more tasks done when trying to make the robot more efficient. It was really
interesting when coding the bumper sensors so that the robot could take a
straight path when pushing a box. It sounded easy, but we had to consider the
shape of the robot (round) and the weight it would be pushing. We made a plow
for the robot making it easier to push a box and worked on the code to try to
compensate for different weights. Below is a more detailed report of how my
week went…
- Tuesday
- Attended C++ meeting with Read.
- Attended motion planning meeting.
- Worked on bumper code for robots to push box straight.
- Worked on IR sensor code and worked on moved to point function.
- Wednesday
- Worked on robot bumper code.
- Worked on move to point function for robot.
- Tested robot pushing function.
- Thursday
- Continued testing robot pushing function.
- Received new task form Saurabh to work on code for marker ID information
inventory.
- Began working on code for marker ID information.
- Friday
- Worked on the bumper code for robot.
- Finished making bumper code more efficient, causing robot to travel much
more straight when pushing boxes.
- Finished code to find information for certain markers.
- Received new task form Saurabh for final project.
- Goals for Next Week
- Finish code for accurate localization for robot.
- Have a much more accurate move to point function.
- Make IR sensor more efficient.
