In addition to running the supplemental scripts, I've been working on analyzing some of the data we already have. Specifically, Kristina is interested in looking at the popularity of photos in each group over time. The hunch was that popularity (as measured by views, comments, and favorites) would spike early and then taper off - a power law distribution. Sure enough, plotting the data seems to reveal this to be the case. Obviously we need to actually run statistical tests to confirm it, but intuitively it makes sense: interest in a photo is going to wane over time, both because more people have seen it and because the older it gets, the further back in the archives you have to go to find it.
