The DMP stands for the Distributed Mentoring Program and is sponsored by the CRA-W (Computing Research Association Committee on the Status of Women in Computing Research). The program has been around since 1994 (wow, that is when I started high school). The program is trying to increase the number of women who continue on to for higher degrees in Computer Science. It pairs a student or two with a mentor and allows them to do research under that professor. I heard about this program from professors at my university and from the Association for Women in Computing at UNL.
