Week 5: Jun 28 - Jul 2
This week was demo week. Several groups of high school students (The Emerging Scholars) visited to the lab to learn about our current projects. Dr Gilbert presented our projects to them and gave a demo for each project. It was very useful to observe as I learned the vernacular to be used when giving presentations.
This week for the Prime III project we worked on developing the pre and post surveys for the tests we'll be doing and also submitted the IRB forms and are now awaiting their approval. For the Avatar Shopping project, myself and another REU students worked together to find a template to be used for an informational website for the project. We also sketched designs for the website layout and are now ready to implement them.
