Mentor
Dr. Nancy Amato
Dr. Amato is Head of the Department of Computer Science and Abel Bliss Professor of Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She was previously Unocal Professor and Regents Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University. Her primary area of research is in Artificial Intelligence, and Dr. Amato's research interests include motion planning, robotics, computational biology, and computational geometry.
Diane Uwacu
Diane is a PhD student working on motion planning with Dr. Amato. She is the graduate student mentor for my summer research project. Her research interests are in applying motion planning to computational biology and machine learning.
