Dr Dutta is an Associate Research Scientist at CCLS, Columbia University's Center for Computational Learning Systems, a Machine Learning research center. Her research interests are

• Data Mining, Machine Learning, and Pattern Recognition
• Data Stream Monitoring
• Medical Informatics
• Grid Mining

Her current research projects include:

• The Epilepsy Project (which I am working on this summer)
• Grid mining algorithms for the NY City electric grid
• Mining data on Peer-to-Peer networks
