Dr. J. Eliot Moss
Dr. Moss is a professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He received his B.S.E.E., M.S.E.E., and Ph.D. all in computer science and all from MIT. His interests include programming language design and implementation, database and information retrieval systems, persistent object stores and persistent programming languages, memory management and garbage collection. He is also the secretary-treasurer and reverend for the The Fellowship of the Way of the Cross, which is a devotional order primarily of Episcopal clergy.
Tim Richards
Tim is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. His research interest is in the implementation of programming languages, where he focuses on improving the portability and agility of the compiler back-end, compilation performance (both static and dynamic (JIT)), and performance and correctness of generated code. Tim is set on receiving his Ph.D. in August.
Ed Walters
Ed is a graduate student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Part of his work on the CoGent project is CASL, which is a rapid-prototyping language for modern micro-architectures.
