7/14 - We've been informed that today was our last official meeting day. Both Ritika and I were extremely ecstatic. I don't care what anyone says, meetings are huge energy drains. Since last week we had a lot of difficulty with doxygen, Sunny has shown us that the reason we cannot find the function calls is because our configuration file is not set up correctly. He then instructed us to go over the entire configuration file by hand and set it up correctly. I am not looking forward to that at all. The file is a little huge and has hundreds of options. But other than that, our only assignments for the rest of the summer is to finish the script (that still isn't working) and to train the new recruits to continue where we are leaving off. It should be a rather easy end of the summer. I like it.
7/16 - We met with Matt and Tej today to show them everything we have been working on this summer and everything we have figured out, including bumps and trials. It took all of one hour. Our entire summer was boiled down to one hour of explanation. How very depressing. Also today, we got doxygen working to actually show us function calls. It was all very exciting. We now have reference variables in the memberdef variables (representing functions) that say where the function is called. This is very helpful to discovering dependencies! Very exciting.
7/18 - Matt asked to see our Ruby script that hasn't been working. He figured out a way to get it to show output: he piped it into a .csv file to load into Microsoft Excel or something. I've never heard of such a thing, but hey, if it works, awesome. I'm all for it if it works. I'm glad we finally got that out of the way too.
