7/16 - Today, the computer science department had a barbeque to honor all of the summer students. Ritika and I were invited, and we went. It wasn't anything special, but the food was good and I enjoyed Ritika's company. It was nice.
7/18 - So I FINALLY got to see Independence Hall, the one place I promised my dad I would go before I left. Fancy that, it's a week before they get here, haha. But the trip was really fun! I got there about 10:30-11AM and got a ticket to go in Independence Hall at 2:15PM, so while I waited, I went to the Liberty Bell Center, Washington Square, and just wandered around the park. It was beautiful. I had lunch at the City Tavern, which is a recreation of a tavern from the 1800's complete with period dress and meal options... I had venison, barley, squash, and clam chowder on pewterware. It was a wonderful experience. Not to mention all I learned about the forming of my country... this city really started it all. I'm very impressed, and I'll be bringing my family here next weekend so that they too can share in the magic. :]
