Distributed Mentor Project (DMP)
Welcome to the website about my Summer 2005 undergraduate research experience in
Computer Science through the
Distributed Mentor Project (DMP) at Texas A&M University.
Introduction
I joined the Parasol Laboratory at
Texas A&M University in the Summer of 2005 as
a
Distributed Mentor Project (DMP) participant under supervision of
Dr. Lawrence Rauchwerger and
Dr. Nancy Amato. I am working on the
Standard Template Adaptive Parallel Library (STAPL) project.
My graduate student mentors are
Gabriel Tanace
and Olga Tkachyshyn.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in the Department of Computer Science
at the University of San Francisco (USF) in
May of 2005.
Goals
My goals include enrolling in Graduate School in Computer Science.
Research Interests
My current research interests include scientific computing, parallel algorithms,
libraries, and high-level abstractions for efficient parallel computations. I also
feel compelled by questions in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and questions regarding
technology and culture, human-computer interaction, and investigations on the topics
of cognition, subjectivity and self.
