Benessa's Summer 2004 DMP Experience

Welcome to my summer 2004 DMP website. My name is Benessa Defend and I was one of the 44 students chosen to participate in the Distributed Mentor Project (DMP) sponsored by the Computing Research Association Committee on the Status of Women in Computing Research (CRA-W). Over 235 students applied to the program, so I am very fortunate for the opportunity! The CRA-W matches students with mentors for a 10-week summer of research at the mentor's institution. I was matched with Dr. Monica Brockmeyer of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.

So you want to know why my background looks so strange? Well, it is actually a reverse path tree that represents the set of links used to reach my ip address from all Scriptroute sites. You can read more about my research in my journal.
