7/26/2012: We Were Robbed Yesterday was a sad day. A thief came and took almost all the electronic devices from our dorm room. It was our fault, the room was unlocked, but our room is ALWAYS locked. I guess always except for this one time. My laptop was stolen. It was the only they took from me but it still is horrible. If I put my life into any electronic, it is my laptop. The thief was crafty beca use they only had a window of 3 hours to get in and out. Luckily I only lost a couple things that I needed for the research and the things I lost weren't very important. I guess I get to go without a laptop for awhile. This is a little inconvenient as I can't get into the my work lab on the weekend and the computer lab in the dorm is only open from 5 to 11 at night. Also no more Netflix. My roommate is happy that I have to stay out of my room now but she's going to be gone after the weekend so she's one to talk. Anyway, we called the police and a policeman came followed by a detective who had been working on other thefts in the dorm this summer, many dorms were robbed. They came and made us fill out a report and then they finger printed our room to see if they could get any finger prints of the thief. Finally after all that and calling my parents to let them know what happened, we had to go down to the police station to have our fingerprints taken so they could weed ours out from the thief's. This was fun. I got to ride in a police car and then we all took turns trying on bullet proof vests. It was pretty big so it pretty much engulfed me.
