My Mentor
Professor Julia Hirschberg is my advisor this summer, and I am incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to work with her. Her research focuses on areas within computational linguistics, including emotional speech (such as deceptive and charismatic), entrainment (how people begin to speak similarly as a conversation progresses), and speech synthesis. She is a prolific and highly accomplished professor in the Department of Computer Science at Columbia University.
