Week 5

June 12- June 16

Each one of us have been working on our projects that we decided to work on personally while trying to figure out which tasks would be the best one to choose. As for me, I spent the most time working on RPGMaker. I tried to design the levels. I designed a farm village and built on from there. I've also created an underground world, church, ocean, shop, and the inside of a house. I think I am almost done with most of the level layouts if I find something else that needs to be added, I will add them when it becomes necessary.
I do have some quest ideas such as the "Egg" game, Tar's "Fishing" game, but not enough to to create a "whole" game. I will have to think about the quest ideas for my "Village" next week.

On Wednesday, we had our weekly meeting. Dr. Branes and Dr. Richter explained about what our study for the summer in debpt. Basically, our goal is to create a friendly interface to make an environment where the student can feel comfortable to use and learn about the programing languages and we are trying to use the game environment to create that.

Amanda Chaffin also introduced her quest ideas called, Catacombs. The user is trying to get to the magic books and in order to do that, the user must inquire programming skills to unlock the doors. Her quest ideas can also be found here: Combination lock, The Ghouls are Coming,The Scales of Whidoel, The Cryptogram
