Existing robots are already teleoperated. But too much concentrations are required to make the robots move and their movements look too creepy to the patients.

 

 

 

 

 

We now want to add a new device to ride on the existing platform as the robot's head and implement its expressive motions that are less creepy  when the robot approaches the patient.

 

 

 

 

In this project, we study the robot's friendly-looking platforms with its new head, the robot's possible mannerisms motions and implement its guarded motions using java API.

I was in a local newspaper, the Tampa Weekly Planet, with my robot.

And ... more!!! I was on TV, WB38 channel, with the robot and the GUI controller that I programmed. It was actually a brief news that introduced the new movie, "I, Robot", after we were invited to the preview. Click here (.wmv file) to see the news.
