Week Seven 7/16-7/20

This week I finished nearly all of the Hanabi game implementation in Unity. I will be spending the next few days cleaning up the code and adding the last few visual elements so that the game is intuitive to play and easy to interact with. From here I will be mainly working on my poster for the SCRA REU Poster Symposium. This includes gathering eye-tracking data, and finding a way to represent it. We have been able to hook up the eye-tracker this week, and made a small object move around the screen based on where the player is looking. Currently I am looking into creating a “heat map” kind of display, where each pixel of the game board gets darker when gaze is detected at that point. I will also begin outlining my paper for DREU in the coming weeks.
