Howdy! 

My name is Christian Ortega I’m addicted to coffee. Just kidding (not really). I’m a rising junior (class of 2019) majoring in computer engineering with a minor in mathematics at Texas A&M University. I love math and teaching, so I tutor a math lab at the Academic Success Center at my school and help my students prepare to pass the math portion of the Texas State Initiative college entrance exam. 

I’m in love with nature, so in my free time I like to run and hike! I also play the clarinet and violin, and am actually a clarinet player in the Texas A&M Wind Symphony, which has been the best college decision I’ve made so far. I enjoy taking photos everywhere I go and am somewhat obsessed with Snapchat. I’m a huge fan of Harry Potter, Star Wars, and like to read about politics and current events.

In the future I will travel the whole world. I want to learn about the different cultures, see the world’s greatest landscapes, and immerse myself in new experiences constantly. I hope to work at NASA once I’m done with school to help advance space research so that we can better understand the universe.
