I work with Victoria Interrante in the virtual reality lab. She is a professor at the University of Minnesota in the computer science department and her specialty is VR.
My project is a study on human collision prediction. I will run four experiments. One where a person walks through a virtual and real hallway, being instructed to take a turn at the end, another where two people walk at each other in a real hallway, taking a tun at the end, and a final one where one person walks at a virtual person, and each of them take a turn at the end of the hallway. I will track head position, head orientation and gaze direction to try and predict which side they will pass the other person on.
One other DREU student and two REU students are assigned to my lab. It's pretty lonely here since they skip work half of the time. The Computer Science group hasn't had many groups outings and I usually skip the group lunches because they don't provide food for people with strict dietary restrictions. I haven't really made any friends over here yet.
I'm the only person working alone, without a partner. I ended up in this situation because an REU student signed up to be in my group at the beginning but quit after four days. He's now in a four person group.

I use an Arrington Research eye tracker, a NVIS st-50 head mount device, and a Vicon tracking system.
Here is an example of head tracking and eye data I can record:
Here are some graphs of the data I've collected:
