About Me
I am Helen Dougherty, a rising fourth-year student at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa, where I am majoring in Computer Science. Barring any global catastrophes or zombie apocalypses, I plan to graduate in May 2016.
This summer I participated in a Distributed Research Experience for Undergraduates (DREU) through the Computer Research Association - Women (CRA-W). I spent 10 weeks in Minneapolis at the University of Minnesota working with Professor Victoria Interrante in her lab. Information about the project can be found under my My Experience page, as well as my final report (which you can also find here).

Art has always been and remains to be a passion and interest of mine, despite my current major. I mostly use pencils, with the occasional foray into paint mediums, but I am also exploring digital art, both painting and graphics/photo manipulation. I use Adobe Photoshop and Corel Painter. All images on this site were created by me; in the case of graphics, all graphical resources used are either within the public domain or used with permission.
