My mentor for my DREU is Dr. Susan Rodger. She is a Professor of the Practice in the Computer Science Department at Duke University. She recieved her Ph.D. from Purdue University. She has done a lot of research with Alice and JFLAP. JFLAP is a package of graphical tools which can be used as an aid in learning the basic concepts of formal computer languages and automata theory.
