The sublist implementation proved incredibly buggy, and I needed to rewrite some portions to get it working at all. My work was ground to a halt simply fixing minor issues with the code and trying to get it to run with locks in place; however, by the middle of the week, it was working in parallel with Cilk locks.

I spent the end of the week cleaning up the code, commenting it, and running several scenarios to see how it would handle them.

This week, my roommate moved in. I'm subletting from a computer science graduate student who is spending the summer working at Google. My roommate is a graduate student at Wash U as well; however, he is studying economy. The apartment is very large, and the neighborhood can be a bit sketchy, so it was really good to have someone else around the house. Through my roommate, I've met other Wash U graduate students, and we went to a concert in the park. St. Louis is a very difficult city to live in without a car. The nearest grocery store is 2 miles away, and thanks to sparse public transportation, it can be difficult to get around. However, I am now tagging along with one of my roommate's friends on weekly grocery trips.
