6/28 - After the aquarium trip yesterday, we decided it would be fun to check out the Franklin Mills outlet mall nearby, so that's what we did today! Had a rather late start on the day, but it was a really relaxing day, full of shopping and walking and Subway! I got a couple of pocket watches for my dad and grandpa for $5 a piece--epic win. We also found some perfume stores that sell Curve--I thought Curve was discontinued! That's what the stores in my hometown said. Since it's my favorite, I had to buy some, haha. I might have to stock up a bit before I go home too. I love this stuff. I also got some workout shorts (been needing some of those something fierce) and, of course, a Subway turkey breast sub, yummm. A great day, for sure.
7/3 - So today totally rocked to no end. Zeel, Ritika and I went to ... HERSHEY!! It was a blast. We didn't go to the amusement park (who needs roller coasters when there's chocolate everywhere?!), but we went to Hershey's Chocolate World, which had the "factory tour" (the factory's not open to the public, so they have this pseudo-factory ride with a tour) and a free chocolate! Yumm... we ended up going on it twice, haha. We also went on a chocolate tasting adventure, where we learned how to tell the difference between fine chocolates! Haha. When you leave, they give you a Master's degree in chocolate tasting from Hershey University... I may just have it framed!! But after all of that, we spent a couple of hours looking around the gift shop and having lots of fun. I want to go back so bad! I'd never been before, and it was absolutely great!! Then on the way home, we decided to stop at one of the Amish stores on the side of the road, and it ended up being a collection of handmades and home furnishings that were just to die for! I've decided that when I get married, I want a chest for the foot of my bed--they're beautiful. :] All in all, an absolutely wonderful day, and for the fourth tomorrow... we're going to NYC!! WOO!
7/4 - Today was a great way to spend the fourth of July. We went to NYC, as I've said before... we spent the entire day wandering the streets and seeing the sights! We saw the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, the Empire State Building, and Central Park. :] It was wonderful. I've never seen so many world-famous locations in one day, haha. But after that, our bus was supposed to leave at 10:00PM and we really wanted to see the fireworks on the waterfront... so Ritika and I ran 6 or 7 blocks to see them, then ran all the way back to make sure we didn't miss the bus, haha. It was an epic journey. After that, I called my parents and talked about my trip to my family for like an hour... overall, it was a fantastic day, and I'd definitely do it all over again if I could.
