Research is time-consuming and often frustrating. This project aims to explore ways to use mashups to ease the research process for nautical archaeologists. Conventional online databases and search engines have several problems, such as irrelevance of results and a lack of a way to combine results from different resources. This summer I developed a prototype intended to display how a few of these issues may be resolved. My prototype combines multiple resources and visualizes the resulting data set.
