For the summer I became one of the “sisters” (unmarried Christian women) residing at “The Convent”, a house within walking distance to the UDistrict (the neighborhood surrounding the University of Washington, Seattle) and a weekly farmers’ market. The Metro bus transit system and the Common Ground college fellowship of the Evangelical Chinese Church became integral parts of my stay in sunny Seattle, especially during the weekends. Seattle's weather was pleasant: I don't recall any rainfall! |
