My DREU Experience 

During my summer at the University of Alabama conducting research with Dr. Anderson was one of the greatest learning experiences of my college career . My DREU experience taught me that the learning curve is always a steep one but with hard work, the ability to understand, and persevere you can always get over that step curve and accomplish all your goals. During the summer I was tasked with building an email service to benefit Senior citizens , although I was not able to finish the programing of the email  I was able to setup the routes, create the pages, and the over all design of the email.  When I was first task with creating the email, I thought to myself  " can I really do this" and I said to myself  " I've always moved forward so why should this be any different" but in all reality I was afraid that I was not going to be up to the task. DREU programed showed me that I am truly up to the task i was given and for that I am very thankful to them for showing me that I can conduct research and have the ability to succeed in graduate school. This program has opened my eyes to what I need to know so I can be truly successful in graduate school. In all I am very thankful to the DREU program and will continue to push myself to learn new thing and to obtain a PHD in the future. ​
