Things are well on their way. I have decided that when the character runs out of energy a restart button will appear on the screen and when pressed the level will start over with the same enemies and items in place.
Once my partner and I had the basic weapon system in place, I began work on the elemental weapons and enemies: Water, Ground (also referred to as Grass and Earth), Fire, and Flying (Air). These different weapons and enemies have a damage relationship borrowed and adapted from the Pokemon world. For instance, if a fire enemy is approaching the character a water weapon should be selected from the inventory if one is available because it would do the most damage. An Air weapon would do a normal amount of damage, but a Fire or Ground weapon would not be very effective.
However the different damage points currently don't matter; when an enemy is hit, it falls of of its path towards the player and stops "attacking". Next week my partner and I will focus on fixing that issue.
