When I tried out the test myself, I tracked my mouse movement and graphed
it, comparing it to the shortest path from one destination to another
It looked like this:
When I tested it with the students at the Campus School, the
data looked like this:
After finding that the test was too difficult for the students
at the Campus School (see Week 3), I designed
a test that was much simpler. It consisted of only four regions to click on,
and had a bigger, red box as the cursor rather than the arrow. This newer,
simpler test still tested the ability to more horizontally, vertically,
and diagonally, though not to the same extent. The simplified test looked
like this:
