Friday, July 25 Sent Sonia my review of the new Paxson paper on trace anonymization. Started the process of trying to get a root account on one of the linux machines in the lab, which would stretch into the next few days. At the end, I will finally realize that my problem is actually installing software (ethereal), which reassembles IP fragments. My aim is to use code from ethereal instead of writing it from scratch, but it seems that rewriting is actually easier than trying to understand the code by installing and running it.
