Summary
Things I did before arriving at the ArticuLab. I say "Week 0," but I really mean Weeks <= 0, with 0 being the week leading up to the start of my internship.
Research
During actual Week 0, I completed CITI (Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative) training for responsible conduct of social/behavioral research.
Meetings
Phone
Shortly after receiving my DREU match, I talked with Justine via phone about my interests in general, the ArticuLab's current projects, and which of those projects I might be interested in (which meant a terribly incoherent mess from me, a lot of exciting facts from Justine, and some more (enthusiastic) incoherence from me, respectively).
Video
I had two video-chat meetings, one with Michael (who leads the RAPT project) and one with Yoichi and Florian (SARA). Both were super informative, and everyone was super friendly.
Daily Logs
Sorry, no daily logs (I didn't start these until actually starting my internship).
Not Work
Lauren, who's the lab manager, gave me lots of helpful information and hints re: house hunting in Pittsburgh. She also introduced me to the ArticuLab's other DREU interns via email.
