This week we were able to begin with the final products of our summer research. We began on the abstract and poster and I feel confident that we will be able to deliver a placing spot in the research competition. We began testing and recording results, so far i think that our results will be good enough to have something promising on the poster.

Monday – 8 hrs

• Worked on paper abstract with group
  
• Continued working on box pushing program so that it worked better in 2 dimensions.
  
• Finished first draft of abstract

Tuesday - 8 hrs

• Worked on box pushing program
  
• Discussed what type of data we wanted to gather from our project and how to present it
  
• Began running tests and gathering data
  
• Began working on second draft of abstract
  

Wednesday- 8 hrs

• Finished second draft of abstract
  
• Continued running tests on robot
  
• Worked on poster for presentation at group meeting
  

Thursday - 8 hrs

• Attended weekly motion planning meeting and received feedback on poster and tips on running tests
  
• Added threads to program to run multiple tests at once
  
• Made changes to the poster accordingly
  

Friday - 8 hrs

• Worked on personal website
  
• Attended Dr. Marco Morales seminar on robotics lab in Mexico
  
• Finished working on website
  

Sunday -

• Went to church
  

Goals for Next Week

• Goal 1 : Gather solid data for poster
  
• Goal 2 : Perform well at the poster session
